Welcome Vic Nunes
Please help us welcome Vic Nunes to Middle Branch Partner’s Board of Advisors.
Mr. Nunes has held some of the most responsible operations positions in the MedTech industry. He has more than 25 years of executive and senior management experience in the global medical devices and life sciences industries, with a particular emphasis on orthopedics.
From 2011 to 2015, as Global Supply Chain Integration Leader for DePuy Orthopedics, he led the $21 billion integration of Synthes. He developed and executed global and regional integration plans to consolidate hundreds of locations, sales offices, warehouses, and several manufacturing sites.
From 2004 to 2011, he was Worldwide Executive Director of Operations for DePuy and a member of the Management Boards of DePuy Mitek and DePuy Codman. He managed manufacturing sites in France and Switzerland and oversaw worldwide supply chain matters, including purchasing, demand planning and inventory, and process development engineering. While serving on the Boards, he provided operations guidance and support that helped fuel the growth of DePuy Mitek as the fastest-growing franchise in its sector.
Previously while Integration Manager, he helped lead the integration of DePuy Ace into Johnson & Johnson, including the transfer and integration of sites in California and Switzerland. Before this, he served as a general manager and manufacturing engineering manager for Johnson & Johnson Professional, Inc., and as a senior manufacturing engineer for Johnson & Johnson Orthopedics, leading a number of process improvement and customer support efforts related to the company’s facility in Puerto Rico.
Mr. Nunes has received advanced certifications from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business (World Class Manufacturing), the University of Virginia Darden School of Business (Financial Analysis and Licensing & Acquisitions) and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business (Executive Management Program). He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB). He is fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken) and conversant in Spanish (written and spoken).
Early in his career, Mr. Nunes was a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces, and received Airborne training at Fort Benning, Georgia, and Ranger training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Mr. Nunes earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) from Northeastern University in Boston.
